Kanemoto Park and Summer Pool
This park is great for an evening with the kids, especially if you’re looking for a spot that isn’t too far from the city. And, during the summer, there’s the added benefit of the pool! It’s not a huge pool, but little kids love splashing around in the water during the warm days. If you’ve spent any amount of time in this neighborhood, you might have noticed the Tower of Compassion that rises up from within it. It’s a beautiful gift from the donors who Kanemoto park is named after and serves as a reminder for the community to always act in compassion.

Rabbit Mountain Open Space
Rabbit Mountain is one of the premier nature and wildlife areas in Longmont. Obviously, in Colorado, you’re not far from some of the most beautiful mountains in North America. But even this park has some beautiful views from the high spots. If you’re lucky, you might even get to see an Elk out in the woods.

St. Vran State Park
This state park is a great place to get away from the business of city life. They offer full hookups for RVs and spots for tenting as well. Picnic areas and fire pits are provided for campers to enjoy when they’re staying at the park. To pass the time, visitors spend time fishing and enjoying the trails that are full of wildlife.

Roosevelt Park is the regular spot for lots of fun events for the community. In the summer, it’s home to beautiful lawn space and free concerts. During the winter months, the community offers an ice skating rink that can be enjoyed by whomever. Another reason to visit the park is the rose gardens and picnic area. What’s not to love about this park? It’s the perfect spot right near downtown.

Union Reservoir Park
A beautiful city park complete with a fishing area, a nice beach, shady trees, and great for relaxing. Sandstone Ranch Park
This park is revered as a piece of Colorado’s rich history. Drive to the historic sandstone ranch or ride your bike around the beautiful trails. There’s a house that’s open on a number of days where you can view traditional architecture. The parking lot offers limited space, but there is a bathroom that you can use if needed. Many guests enjoy seeing eagles, horned owls, otters, beavers, mink, and other wildlife. It’s a great place to enjoy the outdoors with family.

If you’re looking for another great park to enjoy with your family, this is it. Just a short distance from the city center, Stephen Day Park has lots to offer. There are sports courts, a BMX area, splash pads, a dog park, a skate park, and more. The walking trails throughout the park are well kept, and the grass always looks great. Kids and adults will enjoy this park as it has something to offer for all different ages.
