Why should I repair/replace the roof?
Roofs are one of the most important parts of a home or building because they protect the structure from the natural elements such as wind, rain, fire, ice, snow, extreme heat and hail. If you have a damaged roof, you’re likely going to have problems within your home or building.
After a severe hailstorm and depending on the size and density of the hail, your roof could fall into an accelerated rate of damage that leaves you vulnerable to leaks. Over time, if ignored, water that leaks through tiny holes in your roof caused by hail can lead to serious problems on the interior including water damage, mold and other structural issues, as well as a roof collapse.
Should my roofer be insured and licensed?
Yes! Insurance protects you as the homeowner from any unforeseen damage that could happen during the installation process. In Colorado, most local municipalities require contractors to be insured before issuing a valid license.
Having a roofing contractor who has a valid active license in your jurisdiction issued by the city, county or town helps protect you by having a contractor who is being held to certain building code standards by the permit-issuing municipality. By having a valid license a contractor can file for permits to complete your work and have the local building department inspect your home after the job is complete to ensure that all work was performed up to code.
How long does it take to strip my old roof and install a new roof?
On average, 80% of our roofs are completed in one day. Each of our crews has 5 to 7 crew members working on your roofing during the install day to completely remove your old roof and install the new roofing components. Remember while our crew is working on your roof it’s an active construction job, so at times it might appear messy or disorganized. No need to worry. Cleaning up is always a priority and in certain cases, we will do a second clean up the day after the roof is complete, we want to ensure your home is as clean as we found it.
If your roof is going to take longer than average to complete, you will be made aware of this and we will work with you to plan and schedule the project when it works for you.
